Letters of Frankenstein
In the letters of Frankenstein, Robert Walton is writing his sister on his voyage to find a new route through the North Pole to find a more direct route to China for trading reasons. Robert Walton is interested more in how electricity works by studying the means of the Earth's magnetic fields. While Robert Walton is on his way towards the North Pole his ship is traveling through the ice, and he notices a very large man who is on a dog sled and is focused on one goal only, and that is to keep traveling in the direction in which he is heading. He gives the ship no look what so ever, and just continues on his path. Shortly after Walton sees this man he finds another man who is also riding a sled and is also very large, however his team of dogs have died and he is stranded by his self on a broken piece of ice, and is near death himself. Walton then decides to pick him up and give him a cabin in order for the "Stranger" to recover. The Stranger then makes a slow recovery and then begins to talk to Walton about his voyage. Walton then begins to slowly revel that this stranger that he picked up was a reflection of his personality. As they continue to talk more the stranger becomes Walton's best friend.
